From installation
to the stars.
The Old Order uses its own launcher and game accounts. This page will provide the approved download as soon as the first player release is ready.
- 01 / THE FOUNDATION
Install Star Wars Galaxies.
Start with your own original Star Wars Galaxies Windows installation media. Run its installer and finish installing the game. Aletheia’s launcher download does not include the original game.
Use a separate folder for The Old Order so another server’s patches and settings stay separate. Keep your original installation available until the launcher confirms the supported client files.

Get the Old Order launcher.
Once the download is available below, save the ZIP and choose Extract All. Keep its included files together and open OldOrderGalaxy.exe from the extracted folder.
Choose the dedicated SWG game folder when prompted. The launcher will check the supported base client and apply the approved Old Order patches. Let preparation finish before selecting Play.
- 03 / YOUR IDENTITY
Create a game account.
Use Old Order account registration when it becomes available. It creates your account on our SWG game server. Your Crystalbound, SWGEmu forum or another server’s account will not automatically sign you in here.
Choose a unique password. Return to the launcher and sign in with the same account name and password.
- 04 / YOUR STORY
Enter the galaxy.
When the launcher reports that your client is ready, select Play, choose The Old Order Galaxy and create your character. The launcher supplies our server connection; you do not need to edit an IP address or router settings.
For later sessions, launch through Old Order again so you receive the current launcher and game files.

Do I need a Crystalbound or FFXI installation?
No. The Old Order has its own launcher, SWG files, account system and update feeds. Crystalbound is our separate FINAL FANTASY XI project.
What if the launcher asks for missing base files?
Confirm that you selected the installed SWG folder, not the ZIP or a shortcut. Restore missing original files from your installation media. Do not copy another server’s patched client over this installation. Follow the release instructions included with the approved launcher for the exact supported baseline.
Where does the launcher connect?
The game hostname is swg.aletheiagames.com. The launcher handles the connection automatically. A normal player does not need to forward ports on their router.
